I worked on the RealPlayer QA team, where I was responsible for testing all aspects of the Automatic Updating system and servers. This involved rigorous testing across the entire product/OS matrix for every update ever offered. I also created scripts using SMIL to automate testing of the complete range of media types supported by RealPlayer.

I have often been required to quickly learn new programming languages / development environments, and have been able to do so easily. I have developed from the ground up, and also been dropped into massive pre-existing code-bases. Through my career I have attempted to maintain a versatile skill set that was not tied to one language or platform. I have a fundamental understanding of the internet and the underlying client server technologies.

I work well in both Windows and Macintosh environments. I have strong software and hardware trouble-shooting skills. I am very familiar and comfortable with operating Unix based systems remotely. I consider my problem solving skills to be my strongest asset. I am most proficient when given a task and the freedom to implement my own solution.
